Right across Australia communities, bushland and wildlife have been affected by the devastating fires, whether it's from the thick smoke to those who are facing the front line. Our thoughts are with everyone impacted. 

One area impacted is New South Wales' Blue Mountains, a World Heritage Area. It is one of our favourite regions for adventure, not only is the landscape beautiful, the canyoning, abseiling and walking experiences are thrilling.  

Whilst the fires are still burning in some areas that are understandably closed, there are areas around the country including parts of the Greater Blue Mountains that haven't been impacted and remain safe to enjoy. There's plenty of wilderness to explore in Australia. Please continue to plan your active holiday in Australia as the local communities and operators need support during this difficult time. Tourism Australia have released a resource on the areas affected by the fires, click here.
 
We are thankful for the work of the brave men and women at the Rural Fire Service, the vast majority of whom are volunteering their time and often at personal sacrifice. Our donation of $1,000 has been given to the Rural Fire Service and we hope you can support as well. 

Please visit the RFS donation page, click the 'Secure online donations' button. You can even select a local fire brigade such as the NSW RFS Blue Mountains District Group Planning Committee, Katoomba 2780, by selecting 'Make a donation to a local brigade'.
